Detectives detained BNP standing committee member Goyeshwar Chandra Roy from Siddheshwari area in Dhaka early Friday. A team of Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) launched a raid at Ayasha Complex in the area and detained the BNP policymaker around 6:00am, a DB official told The Daily Star Online. Goyeshwar was taken at BD office, he said. Detail about the detention could not be known immediately.
