Crewing update

Hey, Just a quick update on my busy schedule. Friday 15th and today Monday 17th I have been busy set building on Scarlet "Directed by Rebecca Hilton" where I was part of the Set Build team who had to construct three walls to make a 1950's living room. The final out come was brilliant, but there was a few problems on the way. For example we had a little problem with supporting the plaster board and found that chip board works a lot better and I have learned that this would be better to use, one because it is a lot lighter and two because it is easier to support, Plasterboard breaks to easy and is that heavy you need t support it, meaning you spend more on wood to support it.

I also began to shoot on Nicolas "Little Lady" where I am doing Boom Op. Today we filmed "Reds" Scene in the Bedroom, which is a dream scene. the problems we faced on sound was the busy road outside, This was there the whole time we were filming so all we needed to do is get a few minutes of atoms so the editor had a track to lay down so the audio could cut together smoothly. The shooting takes place in a Hotel which was an experience within its self as there isn't plugs everywhere, and you have to constantly be aware of the public that may be wanting to get out of there room or trying to sleep.

Here are a few photos from the Set Build.
