Today match of Pakistan verses Australia was very important. This was shooting or dies match for Pakistan. This was only chance for Pakistan to stay in this world cup. They were already lost from India in their important match. There for in today’s match there was no chance of losing. Pakistan team was under pressure.
Australia won the toss but they elected to bowl first. When both teams reached at ground. The national anthem of both countries was played. From Pakistan Ahmed Shehzad and Kamran Akmal were the openers. Their target was to stay at least for first six over’s and not lose the wicket. They will have also to score the 40 – 50 runs in first six over’s but they could not done this. Pakistan looses the wicket of Ahmed Shehzad early.
After losing first wicket, Pakistan captain Muhammad Hafeez comes to the crease for Paksitan. But he also not stays for so much long and after scoring 13 runs lost his wicket. Then Umer Akmal comes to the crease for batting with his elder brother Kamran Akmal. They were in good from and started to increase the score for Pakistan. Both brothers batted very well but Kamran Akmal lost his wicket after scoring 31 runs from 31 balls. But Umer Akmal not loses his wicket and stay for the 19th over at the crease. Umer Akmal scored 94 runs from the 54 balls. In his 94 runs innings he hit 9 fours and 4 huge sixes. Pakistan set the target of 193 runs for Australia.
When Australia starts their inning they also lose two quick wickets in their first over. But they did not put the pressure on their batting line. Now the finch and young all-rounder Maxwell was on the crease for the batting. Maxwell play really good cricket for her team and scored her fifty in just 18 balls. After scoring 72 runs from the 33 balls. He also lost his wicket. At this stage Australia score was 12 in just 12 over’s. But after getting third wicket Pakistan bowlers bowled really well and bowled out whole Australia team in 20 over’s and keep them to just 175 runs. They were short of 16 runs to the target. In this way Pakistan won this match by 16 runs.
