Darr @ The Mall

Darr is the horror movie directed by Pavan Kirpalani. Nushrat Bharucha and Jimmy Shergill played the leads in this movie. The movie starts with story of Amity Mall which has seen many bizarre and paranormal incidents recently. After death of the watchman, this mall hires Jimmy Shergill (Vishu) whom the ghost had recommended. During a party in that mall, Vishnu was handed over the duty to look into the safety arrangements of that mall. A youngster’s group was enjoying and the ghosts made their presence during the meantime giving them a horrific experience which ended in death.

Kirpalani delivered well within the movie’s shaky folds. Unquestionably fed on huge range of horror flips, he used them all terrifying mannequins, spooky air-conditioning channels and even the ice-skating ring. Luckily the quick looks of the spirits were limited for keeping us shocked till end. Several visual inferences were generously picked up from several seen movies however Kirpalani managed to show an ordinary story which made us uninterested. Editing team also was vigilant in not providing us anything new.

Background music of Shankar, Loy and Ehsaan also made screenplay presentable. It introduces the accurate amount of fear devoid of going exceptionally exaggerated. Jimmy Shergill was good. He kept his enjoyment at the top and played the character with great flawless ease. Nushrat was spanks and lively. And after relatively less inspired presentation in the Akaash Vani, she is amazingly improved in giving a more convincing rendering. Arif Zakaria was not at his best neither was Asif Basra as well as the remaining cast could effortlessly be avoided.
