Scrolling on my facebook account, I can see a lot of instances of people committing suicide, mostly teens. It really breaks my heart to pieces every time I can see or hear about people committing suicide. I believe, suicide is not a solution to the problems we are facing. But why? Why do people end up committing suicide?

To be honest, I feel them. I was in my second year in college when I was also in the middle of depression. That was when my papa had an accident. The motorcycle they were riding was hit by a van. There is nothing severe that happened to my papa, thankfully. But, he still need to undergo medications and it cost a lot of money. My mama was very worried about him and she is very problematic about the whole situation. She needed to borrow money from my aunts and uncles for my papa’s medication and every time I ask her money for my projects, she gets mad. I dropped one of my subjects that time. And, I got SCARED because my mama has a very high expectation of me. And if I won’t graduate on the year she expected, she might get frustrated and mad at me.  That was when I was thought of committing suicide. I don’t have motivation to go to school anymore. And it was time for me to have my presentation at school. And I didn’t go. My classmates were texting me asking where am I because I needed to report that day. And, you know what I replied? I wasn’t really thinking straight that time and I just wrote them a reply saying, “Tell our teacher I am still writing my suicidal note”

I don’t know what went to my mind that time and then, moment after, I heard my teachers and my classmates outside the house talking to my papa and looking for me. I never really had an intention to commit suicide but, I don’t know, maybe that also went to my brain those days. But thank God I never did.

One suicide occurs every 40 seconds . Make a change. Spread love and hope. You never know who you could be saving.

They said, you will know you are depressed if you feel that your life doesn’t have any purpose anymore. You are depressed if you are feeling down and sad and you seem to get stuck in that feeling for a long time.

>> HOW TO STOP DEPRESSION AND THE RISK OF SUICIDE <<

 1. If you are feeling down and seem to be so hopeless in life, FIND SOMEONE TO TALK TO.

Do not just keep the emotion to yourself. Let it burst out. Go to your friends, or anybody you can trust and you are comfortable talking it with.

2. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO CRY.

If you want to cry, CRY! It is not wrong to show your weakness and your brokenness. And crying is also one way to ease the pain that you are going through.

3. KEEP AWAY BEING ALONE.

As much as possible, be around people. That way, you will get distracted and won’t think about doing anything bad. Enjoy life! I am sure the problems that you are having, they are only temporary.

4. BREATHE.

I mean, go somewhere where you can relax and breathe fresh air. Like, go to the park with your friends. You can also go to a place where you can see the beauty of nature. Nature is relaxing and soothing. You can also go to the beach and listen to the waves. It will be very nice to also ponder on how beautiful life is during those crucial times of your life.

5. THINK ABOUT THE PEOPLE AROUND YOU.

Do not just think about yourself. Also think about the people who loves you. Your family, your friends, your workmates, your classmates and everyone who knows you. Think about God. He said in His word that, He will never give any circumstances to you that you cannot handle. Think about what God did for you on the cross. He died for you to have life. Because He loves you so much.

6. GO TO CHURCH AND PRAY.

The best thing to do when you are feeling depressed is, you go to church and if your pastor is there, ask him to pray with you or simply just pray for you. Nothing works best than a PRAYER.

Whenever you are feeling down and life seem to be so mean to you and you do not know what to do, go back to this blog post. And I hope this one will help you. I hate seeing other people committing suicide and most of the time, the reason is break up. There are still a lot of people there that loves you. God loves you too.

I just want to share this very nice and inspiring video and I am sure, this will change your life forever. :)
