E3 - Halo Master Chief Collection announced

Posted on at

Halo, one of the biggest-selling franchise ever, has now debuted it's latest game in the installment - Halo 5. But what's even better, is that they have now also announced another surprise for the fans. The 'Halo Master Chief Collection'.

There's been an awful lot of speculation on whether a special Anniversary Edition of Halo 2 would be revealed at E3 this year, which marks the 10th anniversary of the sequel. Microsoft has been listening a lot to the fanbase it seems, because they got exactly what they asked for. On monday, Microsoft and Studio 343 announced a massive Xbox One Halo package containing every title from Halo: Combat Evolved, all the way through to the Halo 5 beta, all running in HD 1080p.

But that's not all folks! The massive collection will also include a live-action digital series produced by none-other than Ridley Scott, which fills in the story between Halo 4 and Halo 5.

Buyers will gain access to the Halo 5 beta as well, which grants them access to multiplayer online content, such as the various modes, a couple of maps, weapons and other content that is still being worked on.

The Halo Master Chief Collection is to be released November 11th as an Xbox One exclusive.
