Eddie Jones recovering after playing for the South Darwin Rabbitohs in the early 80s

I'm case anyone is wondering, that's Eddie third from right. He would have been in his early 20th at the time. He was a hooker, but obviously a very undersized one at this time. It wasn't until his mid to late 20s that he cemented his place in the Randwick first XV, and then in the New South Wales team.

By all accounts he was a very skillful technical player, but simply wasn't big enough for higher honours.

Back when I was playing for the bunnies he came up a couple times to run guest coaching sessions, and share a few beers with the boys in the Parap Village Tavern. Really nice guy.
