ethics are the rules to determine the right and the wrong.Most ethical beliefs are learned in childhood and are drived from family, society or religon.Ethics are different from laws.A law is an external rule that causes punishment if it is violated.Ethics are internal principals that influence decisions.The general rules of ethics in computing include.
1. the computer should not be used to harm others.
2.The computer should not be used to steal something such as credit card numbers
3.The user should not be used to abuse his power.
4.The user should not use anyother's computer resources without permission.
5. The copyrighted software should not be copied illegally.

* Digital divide: The gap between the people who have access to computer and the internet and people who donot have these facilities is called digital divide.This division allows people with computers and internet access to take advanteg of personal and economic opportunities.The lower income families cannot afford a computer and the internet.The same gap exist between men and women, Rural and urban communities.. etc. 
The combined efforts of industry and government are needed to bridge digital divide.The world bank and other international bodies have created initiatives to overcome the digital divide arround the world.
* Work place issues:Some important issues at workplace are as follows:
1. Healthy computing: Some serious health problems may occur if a user sides in front of computer in awkward possitions for a long period of time.These problems include stress, eyestrain , headach and backpain etc.The user can minimise problems by taking rest breaks and using well desingned furniture etc.
2.Environmental concerns: The environmental protection egencey (EPA) has created energy star program to discourage waste in microcomputer industry.If has established a goal to reduce power requirements for system units moniters and printers.If resulted in the concept oF GREEN PC.There could be personal responsibilities also.
