Here I come with the last part of my blog about the cities and their nicknames. Will you have enjoyed reading this and liked my blog and a lot of information has been added to you. So now I will continue with the remaining cities and their nicknames.

Santiago, The City of Island Hills
 

Chile situated in South America which is surrounded by the high mountains. Capital of Chile Santiago is totally surrounded by the high mountains. 4 centuries ago in 1540 the foundation of the city was settled on the mountain named as Hewlin which was situated in an Island. From that time Santiago is known as the city of island hills.

Santiago is the capital and largest city of Chile as well as one of the largest cities in the Americas. It is the center of Chile's largest and the most densely populated conurbation.

Washington, DMV
 

Washington is the capital of America. It has the nickname of Washington DMV. This is the short form of some abbreviations. The word D stands for District of Columbia, M stands for Maryland and V stands for Virginia State. These three words became the nickname of Washington DMV.

Washington had an estimated population of 681,170 as of July 2016. It is named in honor of President George Washington.

Cairo, Mother of The World 

Although there are many cities which are more ancient than the Cairo City but the mother of the world is known as the Cairo City. Cairo is situated in African continent and the capital of Egypt. Cairo city has this name from the last three centuries.

Cairo has the oldest and largest film and music industries in the Arab world.With a population of 6.76 million spread over 453 square kilometers, Cairo is by far the largest city in Egypt.

Prague, The City of 100 Spires
 

Prague is the capital of Czech Republic who is the member of European Union. Prague is famous for its tall churches having nail like spires which are abundant in number. These spires were known as Aspires in the ancient English. Mostly these aspires are important hey related to the construction of Christianity and Prague does not have only historical Constructions related to Christianity but the presence of Aspires also make the Prague City we known as the city of hundred spires. There are not only hundreds of spires it is said that there are thousands of spires in this city.

It is the 14th largest city in the European Union. It is also the historical capital of Bohemia. The city is home to about 1.4 million people, while its larger urban zone is estimated to have a population of 2.2 million.

Beijing, The Forbidden City 

In the city of Beijing, there was a wooden palace of china's Ming family in which there were more than 900 buildings. Now this whole area is turned into museum. As entering and exiting without permission was considered crime inter Complex like palace, so due to this reason this city is known as the Forbidden City. As this palace is situated in heart of the Beijing so now this city is also known as the Forbidden City.

Beijing is the capital of China and the world's second most populous city proper and most populous capital city.

Tehran, The City of 72 Nations
 

The capital city of Iran is Tehran. This city was a point for the immigrants throughout the time that is why the city is known as the city of 72 Nations but Who has given this name to it and when this name was given to it? This is still unknown. On the other side the second city of Iran, Isfahan has remained a great city from 10th century to the 17th century. This city is known as Isfahan the Half World

Tehran has a population of around 8.8 million in the city and 15 million in its larger metropolitan area, Tehran is the most populous city in Iran and Western Asia.

Rome, The Eternal City

In the hot and cold times of the history, Rome has been always glittering. Either it was the decline of any Nation or it was the up rise of any Nation, Rome has been always on this earth and none could have destroy this city. Due to this oneness, Rome is known as the Eternal City.

Rome is the capital of Italy and with 2,877,215 residents in 1,285 km2 (496.1 sq mi), it is also the country's most populated comune. It is the fourth-most populous city in the European Union.

Budapest, The Pearl of Danube


The capital city of Hungary, Budapest, has many nicknames but the river Danube divide the city into two parts that is why many experts call this city The Pearl of Danube due to the river Danube.

Budapest  most populous city of Hungary and one of the largest cities in the European Union with an estimated population of 1,759,407  over a land area of about 525 square kilometres.

Lima, The City of Kings

The city which was founded in the 15th century known as Lima is in the South American country Peru. Lima is the capital of Peru. As the foundation of the city was settled on 6 January and this is the day when Christian people celebrate the revelation of Christ. So new to this connection the founder of the city Francis Pizzaro name the city the city of Kings but now this name has been fade away and only it is remembered as its nickname.

Lima is the largest city of Peru.  It has a population of more than 10 million, Lima is the most populous metropolitan area of Peru and the third-largest city in the Americas.

Karachi, The City of Lights


In the near past due to clean atmosphere, vast roads, glittering mornings, and nights the Karachi city was known as the city of lights. Other than this, Karachi is the birthplace of the founder of Pakistan Quid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and also his death place.

That is why this city is known as Quid's city. On the other hand the gates of this city are always open for those who come in this city for the purpose of trade and business and all other economic activities. Due to this reason this city has also one another nickname mini Pakistan. Similarly this is also known as Paris of Asia.

Karachi is the capital of the Pakistani province of Sindh. It is the most populous city in Pakistan, sixth most populous city in the world and the 8th most populous metropolitan city in the world.

Lahore, The City of Big Heart People 

The capital city,Lahore, of province Punjab, Pakistan has a nickname of Pakistan's heart. The people of Lahore are known as Big heart people. This is also known as the Pearl of Punjab. Similarly Lahore has other nicknames to like the Paris of East, cultural point of, city of gardens.

Lahore is the second-most populous city in Pakistan after Karachi, and the 15th most populous city in the world. Lahore is ranked as a beta-world city.

Quetta, The City of Fruits

 

Quetta is the Provincial capital of Baluchistan which is the largest province in Pakistan. This city is known as the city of fruits. Quetta is small city surrounded by the mountains. there are almost all types of fruits in the City like grapes, almonds, cherry, apples, and apricot.

Quetta was completely destroyed in the earthquake of 1936 but the city was rebuilt by the brave people of this place. Quetta has few million populations. Before earthquake was known as little Paris now the situation here is very poor. It does not match even the standards of a city.

Sialkot, The City of Iqbal
 

Sialkot is the City situated in the province of Punjab in Pakistan. Is the birthplace of greatest poet Allama Iqbal who is known as the poet of East. Was not only a poet but also a thinker, philosopher and a lawyer. He gave the idea of Pakistan and Awake the Muslim Nation from its deep sleep by his great poetry.

As this great philosopher poet and thinker was born in this city that is why this city is known as the city of Iqbal. Moreover Sialkot is very famous for sports equipments like cricket balls, bats, footballs, and other playing equipments.The sports equipments of Sialkot are famous all over the world and they are exported throughout the world.
