Famous Tourist Attractions in India – Must Watch

Hello Everyone! So where all of you wish to spend your vacations? If you are searching around the internet which one is the best option then it’s better to add India also in your list. Yeh it’s true for long time India is well famous for its tourist attractions. You now one fact, India is the most diverse country where one can find potent mix of culture, cuisines and even historical memories. But the truth is every paradox has its own beauty and charm. It is said about India – You no need to search beauty here rather you will effortlessly stumble-upon while exploring the land.                 

India offers travelers and tourist’s big bucket of beautiful plus historical places to explore. It’s a land of hills, beaches, deltas, rivers, historical momentum's, and even rich in amusement parks. The biggest Himalaya is its crown. India’s history, culture and diverse geography make its international tourist appeal. Oops! Really it’s hard - which one is to choose among huge options to visit?

Most of the time, the choice of places comes down to our own personal preferences. But Today In this post my attempt is just to introduce some of the famous tourist attractions of India.

AJANTA CAVES

Ajanta Caves is the major tourist attraction and world’s greatest historical monuments of India’s state Maharashtra. These caves are well famous for its mural which represents the most excellent surviving example of Indian art, and paintings. If you are one of the art lovers you must watch this cave. The caves art and especially paintings are best ever masterpiece of “Buddish Religious Art”.  There are 28-30 rock cut caves in Ajanta which was built in during two different periods of times on earlier 2nd century BC and 5th century AD.  The site paintings and sculptures reflect the events and influence of Prince Buddha life, founder of Buddhism.

This site is discovered in 1819 by a British Officer. The caves are numbered from 1 to 28 which are started from the entrance. All these caves are Buddish monastic buildings which incidentally represent the view of semi-mythological history, the royal court and life of ancient times.  These Caves are rock cut into cliff side which is south side of U shaped gorge on the Waghur river. These caves are located just 104 kilometers from Jalgaon Railway station on Delhi –Mumbai line or just outside the Ajanta village in Aurangabad, District of India’s state Maharashtra.

ESSEL WORLD

Essel world is the India’s largest amusement and water park. This park situated at Gorai Island, Mumbai. This magical amusement park is famous for fun rides, sports activities and for games. Essel World is built by Essel group’s Subhash Chandra in 1986. The travelers and tourist, while visit Mumbai, never miss the opportunity to experience this magical park fun.  The water kingdom of park is spread over 64 acres land along with its counterparts.

Here variety of rides is available suites for all ages. One can explore lot of fun here with trilling rides, ice skating, boating, and roller coater, dance floor, and many more. Horror lover can experience horror ride entitled as “Monsters in the Mint” which is titled as India’s scariest ride.

Local trains for Malad and Borivali station can help to reach at Essel World. Really this amusement park is ultimate tourist attraction and it’s munificently designed features never fails to provide the fun and enjoy which every tourist seeking for.

 

LOTUS TEMPLE

This Lotus Temple is situated in Delhi and  build in 1986. Its distinguished lotus flower shape makes it the most prominent attraction of the city. This is the Bahá'í house of worship. Bahá'í Faith is like a religious monotheistic community which believes in and emphasizes on humankind spiritual unity. This Bahá'í Faith was found in 19th century Persia by Bahá'u’lla’h. This holy lotus temple is as Mother Temple of Indian subcontinent and has been won several architectural rewards.

This Lotus Flower shape temple is made with 27 free marble clad petals which, to form nine sides, are arranged in cluster of three. These nine sides open nine 40 meters tall doors onto a central hall that can hold up to 2500 people’s crowd. 

This holy Lotus shape Bahá'í house of worship also joins the other Bahá'í house of worship around the world. This holy lotus temple open it’s doors to all irrespective of religion. The main emphasis is making a gathering place where all can worship God. But no musical instruments are allowed to be played inside the temple.

Since it’s inauguration in December 1986 to until that time it become one of the most famous and visited holy buildings of the world. So it’s really notable to watch this place because this type of architecture is rarely seen to enjoy.

 

TAJ MAHAL

This ivory white marble mausoleum is the most famous epitome of Mughal art and since from 1983 this is  the UNESCO World Heritage Site as jewel of Muslim art in India. This tomb is situated at south bank of Yamuna River in Agra, City of India. This is made by the Mughal emperor, Shah Jahan in the memory of his wife Mumtaz Mahal, the Persian princes. The Shah Jahan’s grief after her death inspired him to build this beautiful Taj Mahal in memory of his most beautiful wife. The name of this majestically tomb ‘TAJ MAHAL “derived from his wife name Mumtaz Mahal which means “Crown of Palace”. This tomb is considered as symbol of love. The pure white marbles, gemstones, ornaments and architecture used to ready this amazing mausoleum makes it world famous.

The entire structure of the Taj Mahal includes Tomb (which is centre of attraction), a mosque, a guest house, and gardens around. Taj Mahal is considered the iconic site of India. This site is well famous for it's extraordinary architecture and unique designing used to decor the Taj Mahal.

 

VICTORIA MEMORIAL

This Calcutta famous memorial building dedicated to Victoria that honors the British Empire in India. This memorial hall is situated at Calcutta capital of west Bengal, India. This memorial hall is the best blend of British and Mugal architecture. In 1906, Prince Wales laid the foundation stone of Victoria Memorial and inaugurated in 1921 in the memory of Queen Victoria. It’s well designed architecture attracts million of travelers or tourists to visit it.

Today this hall is a well famous museum for exhibiting Indian and Western paintings, Mugal miniatures, 1870’s century books, statues, arms, sculptures, sketches, manuscripts and many other interesting historic objects. There are about 3000 exhibits in galleries of site.  It’s well designed architecture, which at night descends give it fairy tale look, make it centre of attraction among the travelers or tourists.The main entrance of Victoria hall is from north where a bronze statue of Queen Victoria sits at the entrance marbles staircase.

 

 PANGONG TSO

If you are one of the nature lovers then never forget to see this natural beautiful site. Pangong Tso for its high grassland lake also knows as Pangong Lake.

This gorgeous lake is situated at India’s highest mountain Himalayas at height of about 4350 m. This lake is 134 km long and widen from India to china. Yes, the i/3 of the lake lies in India and remaining 2/3 lies in china’s Tibet area. .

In India this lake is situated just 5 hour from the ladakh’s region leh in Jammu Kashmir. The glimpse of tranquil water and its trembling shores make it attractive to visit. In winters the surface of the lake become so solid because of   surrounded freezing temperature and it’s hard to walk over it. But on these freeze surfaces the large festive of ice skating is organized which is participated by many participants around the world. The lake area fall under the Army headquarters and one need to take pass from Leh commissioner to watch the lake.

 ROCK GARDEN

This is the most famous sculpture garden of Chandigarh, India. This is the unique garden which is entirely made of the industrial and home waste items. It’s interesting right. You can’t believe when see that how everything is used properly to give this garden a hilly plus sculpture seen. This garden is famous for their sculptures made from recycled ceramic and also for other interesting sights like water fall, and its confusing path.

Really its path is very interesting you will totally confusing from where you started and where you are walking. This lake is situated near the sukhna lake of Chandigarh. This garden is well famous for its unique architecture and for using recycled waste. Its founder wins the Padma Shri award for this park. If anytime you  come India then try to visit this amazing garden and you must be amazed how waste bottles, electric items, glasses, bangles ceramic’s and even sinks are used to ready the sculpture who welcome all their visitors on the walked path.

 

KERELA HOUSEBOATS

Kerela, state in southern India, offers one of the most beautiful the unique experience to stunning backwaters which are a complex chain of brackish lagoons, annals and lakes. This network includes five large lakes which are linked by canals and fed by 38 rivers. In simple words it’s a network of rivers, canals, inlets and lakes.

You know one interesting thing of these Kerala’s backwaters; you can enjoy cruising in a houseboat. Really! It’s wonderful and unforgettable experience. These houseboats have all goods of comfort like bedroom, toilets, living rooms, kitchen and even balcony to enjoy beautiful sight of nature. You can saw a mini hotel moving slowly to offer enjoy the beauty of nature. You can enjoy the breathtaking view of Kerela while riding on these beautiful slow moving boats. In Kerela these boats are know with name of kettuvalloms. Yeh! It’s a great place to enjoy the leisurely journey of Kerela backwaters on luxurious well famous houseboats.

So you are also tempting to watch these places once. Yeh, it’s natural because the beauty of this place is so charming to attract anyone. But it’s amazing the journey of India’s well famous and beautiful places is not end here. India is a land of diversify culture, art and history. On each corner of country there a lot of things to explore. That’s it’ hard to explain each and every aspect of its beauty. Here I just try to reflect just those places which are very well famous especially among the international tourists. Every country has their on culture and historical memories and same time May it’s not possible to view everything but have knowledge about these can help lot to explore.
