As the priest said during the mass "I give you peace, peace I gave you, share it to everyone."

I started to wonder, everytime na nakikipagtanguan ang tao saying "Peace be with you" if they really mean it? Or sinasabi lang nila yun bilang pabalat lang sa pagdalo sa banal na misa?
