First Water Based Nuclear Battery

I just read a news in our Indian news sites, that A Research Center of Missouri, New York has invented a long-lasting battery which uses a radioactive isotope. It boosts the electrochemical energy in water based solutions. Though water is not the main ingredient of the Battery, but in this solution water acts as a buffer and creates surface plasmons, which is the most useful to increase the efficiency.

By the way, reading this new, I became more optimistic about their research on the alternate energy sources, started believing that they will find out something like this.
