Hippocratic oath

Socrates, philosopher disciple of Galen, who focuses on human beings and their development, he began the science of medicine, concerned about the objective and the realization of science that created the oath when he began teaching.

The Hippocratic oath is a public oath that make people who graduate in medicine. It is made to other doctors and to the community. Its content is ethical, to guide the practice of their profession. It is also the oath that is based from the responsibility of human beings and aware of it.

 

I swear by Apollo, physician, by Aesculapius, Hygeia and Panacea and get to witness all the gods and goddesses, that I note the following oath, which forced me to meet as offer, putting on such an endeavor all my strength and my intelligence.

I tributaré my teacher of Medicine the same respect as the authors of my days, I will depart with them my fortune and succor if he was needed by; I will treat your children as my brothers and if they will learn science, show it selflessly and without any kind of reward.

I will teach with precepts, oral lessons and other modes of teaching my children to my teacher and the disciples to join me in the covenant and oath that determine the health law, and no one else.

I will establish the regime of the sick in the way that is most profitable according to my ability and in my opinion, avoiding all evil and injustice. I will not access claims seeking the administration of poisons, nor suggest any such thing; I will refrain from abortive pessaries applied to women.

I will pass my life and exercise my profession with innocence and purity. I will not execute the size, leaving such an operation to those who dedicate themselves to practice.

Whatever house you enter, I will not take other purpose than the good of the sick; I deliver to voluntarily commit fouls insulting or corruptive actions and will avoid especially the seduction of women or men, free or slaves.

I keep secret what you hear and see in society because of my exercise and not indispensable disclose, whether or not the domain of my profession, considering it as a duty to be discreet in such cases. If I observe this oath faithfully, may I be granted happily enjoy my life and my profession, always honored among men; if brokenness and I perjured myself fall on the opposite luck.
