Indian government introduces a portal to bridge the gap between the governance and people participation.

There is a general perception among the public that after a government comes to power, the government hardly desires to hear the voices of the people. But to run a successful government people participation is a must.

Peoples’ participation by no means less significant or less numbered. There are a numerous people around who wants to contribute, discuss, and do something for the cause of the different issues that engulf our nation, topics that concerns the country, the work that needs to be made to build our nation strong to resist counterattack.

Mygov.nic.in is indeed a noble portal to fulfil the hopes and aspiration of these numerous people around who wants to make it happen. The site comprises of sections “Discuss” and “Do”. The former encompasses ideas, thoughts, and advice on various topics that concerns India. The Do section focuses on the work that has to be done to build India to sustain. The portal aims partnership with an intention towards good governance.

The discussion already on board are topics like, “ Roadmap to clean the Ganga.”, “Creative engagement with government departments”, “ Ideas to boost girl child education. The topics desired in just a start to this initiative and lots of other subjects to be added later. People can come up with suggestion to any technological changes if there are any problems confronting the site.

The platform is, however, not intended to be a grievance portal, but rather an initiative the government hopes will encourage purposeful engagement.
