Ingredients

  • Ice block: 1 (approx. a medium ice bowl)
  • Sugar: 1/2 cup
  • Any fruit syrup: 2 cup
  • Salt: a pinch
  • Serving glass bowls

Directions

  1. Sugar syrup:

    Take a pan, add fruit syrup and sugar in it. Cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cook until a thick syrup is formed. Turn off stove and let the syrup cool on room temprature. Finally place it in fridge to cool.

  2. How to crush Ice:

    Commercially there are machines that are used to crush the ice, if you have one at home then its good. But if not then there are two ways to crush the ice.

    • Take a plastic bag, put ice in it and pound it with a rolling pin or a rubber hammer.
    • Or, take a vegetable chopper having wide blade. Crush your ice over it by rubbing ice on the blade.
  3. Making Ice Gola:

    When crushed (ice), add pinch of salt and make small bowls of ice with your hand or with the help of an ice cream scoop tool. Place each ball of crushed ice on serving glass bowls. With the help of a spoon pour sweet syrup on it, approx. 1 - 2 tbsp or as much you require.

    Repeat the process, until 4 serving bowls will be ready.

    • You can add any other thing to your Ice Gola as you desire. You can a tbsp of condensed milk to each of the Gola before pouring syrup.
