‘It was all about dots, cutters and keeping cool’ – Mustafizur

He came from a small village called Tetulia in the Shatkhira district, far away from this capital city – we are talking about Mustafizur Rahman; the teenage boy who provoked one of the most outstanding sensations in the recent history of cricket in Bangladesh.

Taking 5 wickets for 50 runs in 9.2 overs in a debut match could be a terrific achievement itself but the performance of Mustafizur Rahman is more glorified for the way it was achieved. In a dead batting pitch, his slower and cutters confounded the world class Indian batting line up.

Not only Bangladesh but also Indian media had produced overwhelming reactions about the teen sensation; so how was that night for him? Mustafiz said it was a long sleepless night, “I had a dream and it came true” – he exclaimed.
