Olympic Qualification

Beginning now, points won at all international point tournaments count toward Olympic qualification.

Men

For each of the seven (7) weight categories, the first 22 athletes ranked on the IJF
World Ranking List of 30 May 2016 will be directly qualified, with a maximum of one (1)
athlete per NOC (National Olympic Committee i.e. US Judo) per weight category.


Women
For each of the seven (7) weight categories, the first 14 athletes ranked on the IJF World Ranking List of 30 May 2016 will be directly qualified, with a maximum of one (1) athlete per NOC per weight category.
