Karate for World Peace, Mental & Physical Health !

Karate streamlines our mind , Body & Spirit.It brings out the best disciplines & qualities like honesty,respect to each other,emotional content etc.,It boosts our self confidence to a great extent.It keeps our body weight in check.

The history of karate is very interesting.A person named Bodhi dharma from Tamilnadu state of India has travelled all over the asia to spread the teachings of buddha.While doing the same he taught the martial art form of tamils called KUTTHUVARISAI , means series of handstrikes.Later it emerged as KALARI in Kerala state of India , Kung-fu in china & Karate in Japan.Truth is the source of majority martial art is Kuththuvarisai , however due to lack of system to retain or passing to next generation was missing.Though some aged person in Tamilnadu still teaches this art , current generation is unable to learn it completely because of non-availability of information in written form or any form like images or videos.

After the world war , Western countries brought Karate fromf Japan.They have realized the importance of Karate and they utilised well and there are millions of karate practitioners now all over the world including America & Europe.

Japanese are known for their perfection & discipline.What made karate the best among the martial arts is the systematic approach involved in checking the mastery of one student.The belt grading system & the promotion method using Ranks tests with both mental & physical tests.One has to teach the junior students along with their own skills development.The Uniform called GI symbolize the peace & cleanliness.Respect to the fellow students and loyalty to the master is the unique quality in karate which led its growth everywhere in the world.

A well qualified karate person wont get involved in violence.He would use his skills only to protect the people & he is well aware where & when to get involved in a fight.Karate expert pledges to his teacher to use the karate only for self defence.Sport karate is growing faster among the various countries because of its flexibility in enhancing the fighting skills based on point scores.

Karate is good for mental health to a great extent.Most of our worries begins from mind and a real karate person learn how to differentiate worries & concerns.That is the secret of their happiness.Zen mediation taught in karate system strengthens the mind.The powerful exercises , KATA (shadow fighting) & sparring with partner are the main trainings involved in karate.My conclusion is world is in need of PEACE and a terrorism free society.Everyone has to learn karate for inner peace & World peace and to protect their own people from violence and to be in good mental & physical health.
