Twenty 20 cricket is a short style of cricket which was introduced by England in the 2003. The main reason of introducing this style of cricket is making the cricket more fast, furious, attracting and interesting for the audience and especially among the youngest crowd. Twenty 20 cricket is played on normal cricket grounds though with the same traditional rules of cricket game to quite an extent but there are some differences as well.
Twenty 20 Rules of Cricket:
- There are 20 overs
- Each bowlers is restricted to doing four overs.
- Till the sixth over, fielders remain in the circle. Only two fielders can remain outside the circle.
- After completing sixth over, maximum five fielders are allowed out of the circle
- In short style of cricket no-ball is common. So if a bowler delivers a ball and it overstepping the popping crease then it considered a no-ball. The batting team gets one run for the no-ball
- If bowler don’t bowel on allocated time so there are run penalties for each over
- After the fall of a wicket the next batsman has 90 second to get to the crease. So for this reason, players of the batting team do not arrive from their traditional dressing rooms. They have a row of chairs near the ground for sitting and from there they watch their match & also go for play on their turn.
