Morris and Wiese to make case for themselves

Posted on at

Faf du Plessis led the Twenty20 squad of the Proteas reached Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 5:30pm on Tuesday. They were scheduled to land at 8:20am but Bangladesh Cricket Board officials said the team missed the connecting flight in Dubai, causing the delay.

The two Twenty20 matches are scheduled at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium respectively on July 5 and 7.

In the meantime, establishing themselves in the shorter formats of the game will be the primary objective of Chris Morris and David Wiese when South Africa play against Bangladesh at the Tigers’ den in July.

The Proteas are still searching for a long-term all-rounder to replace Jacques Kallis, who retired from international cricket a year ago.
