Posted on at

Fourteen thousand feet above sea-level in Kaghan Valley, lies a huge lake that looks like a tear-drop from mother nature’s eye. Yes, we’re talking about the enchanting Ansoo Jheel.

Situated in the Himalayan Range, the word Ansoo comes from the Urdu language which translates to “tear-drop” – and a tear-drop is indeed what the lake looks like!

The lake is said to have been discovered in 1993 by Pakistan Air Force pilots who were flying low in the area. Earlier, the lake was not even known to the locals. However, there is no place to stay at lake.. people must camp around it if they want to stay there!
