A Malaysian Islamic scholar has claimed that Muslim women have ‘no right’ to deny a man sex. Ever. Even on a camel.While marital rape is not illegal in Malaysia, if a husband uses violence to force his wife into having sex with him he can be jailed for up to five years.

Perak Mufti Tam Sri Harussani Zakaria told Malay Mail Online: “Even the Prophet says even when they’re riding on the back of the camel, when the husband asks her, she must give.”
The scholar also insisted that the idea of marital rape does not exist in Islam, saying that rape can only exist outside of marriage.

“There’s no such thing as rape in marriage. This is made by European people, why should we follow?”

According to the Quran, it is forbidden for men to have sex with women while they are on their period.

Zakaria went one further to say the only times a woman can refuse their husband sex is when she is menstruating, sick or has just given birth.
