Today, December 11th, is National Noodle Ring Day.

Noodle rings are pretty much what they sound like - noodle dishes that are cooked in a ring.

Noodles are cooked and, after draining, placed in a greased ring mould. A cheese sauce is then poured over the noodles (with half saved for later).

The dish is then baked in an oven inside a pan filled with water. The dish is then popped out of the mould and the remaining cheese sauce poured over it. The centre can be filled with cooked vegetables.
