This Is Something Most People Never Knew About Paul Walker

He was much more than just a car guy.

The passing of the late and great Paul Walker was a tragedy that broke hearts all over the world. Walker was most famous for playing the character Brian O'Connor in "The Fast and the Furious" movie series. He also had a reputation for being an all-around stand-up guy. However, there was one aspect of his life not everyone knew about at the time of his death. Walker was also an incredible philanthropist. So much so that he started his own charity called Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW).

In fact, the day he was killed in that tragic crash he was just leaving one of his charity's events. ROWW was founded after Walker visited Haiti on an aid mission in 2010 following a massive earthquake that devastated the small island nation. During his trip, Walker saw first-hand the desperate need for skilled personnel in post-disaster situations.

Following that trip, the actor formed ROWW to fill the gap. The charity is made up of a network of dedicated first responders who volunteer their expertise when disasters strike. They specialize in arriving quickly, providing assistance and easing the pain of disaster survivors in the most dire situations. In honor of Paul Walker’s memory, and the upcoming two year anniversary of his passing, we encourage our readers to visit ROWW’s website, to learn more about their mission, and to donate to this very worthy cause.
