New Camera instead of old with 3 years warranty

Today is the luckiest day for my friend. Few days back her digital camera became unstable while charging due to short-circuit of electricity. It was luckily in the last month of the warranty period. She handed over the camera to “Sony” service center. That camera had a warranty for 3 years. But that part and the model was not available at that moment. Service Centre took a little bit more time and they replaced her old camera instead with new model plus upgraded features loaded. Also a warranty for another 3 years with this new camera added as an extra gift for her.
