Online Premiere of Short Film ‘Richie’

Posted on at

Finally I can now share you all my short film, Richie. It’s about three builders, who find out something about each other whilst taking a tea break from their work.

I worked with a brilliant crew to make this. Anderson West, my collaborator for Sour Films, produced the film with me and was fantastic from start to finish – he also graded the film. Mark Kucewski shot the film – Mark is a very talented individual, who will go far in his career. Nat Cooke was my 1st AD, taking the stress away from me just like she did on Pie Money – thanks Nat! And thank you to everyone else who worked on the film.

I also want to thank Paul, Carl and Sean who were great to work with on the day. They brought my script to life for the cameras, and were very patient as we set up for the shoot!

This was a good way getting back into making shorts, and I enjoyed my first collaboration with Anderson West (who shot his film on the same day, you can see it here). I approached the project in a different way to my other shorts, being more experimental in how the narrative plays out. It’s going to be the first of a few which are currently in development.
