Melanie Klein

(1882-1960)


She was born in Vienna in a simple and very religious family. She pledged to Stevan 17 years with Arthur Klein, an industrial chemist and studied medicine (psychiatric).

  In 1918 M Klein attended the 5th International Psychoanalytic Congress, at which time she decided to psychoanalysis, publishing in 1920 his first job and being accepted as a member of the Psychoanalytic Society. In 1922 he became a member of the Psychoanalytic Society of Berlin (in the same year, Anna Freud becomes a member of the Vienna Psychoanalytic Society).

The period 1928-1939 is the most productive in the life of M. Klein, performing various theoretical contributions and publications. In 1955 the Association Melanie Klein, based on his theories was founded.
