Hamad Medical Corporation provided the healthcare in country, which is established by the government as a nonprofit healthcare provider, which have a network of Hospitals, Ambulance service, and a home healthcare service all are accredited by Joint Commission. Qatar citizens having national health insurance scheme, must either receive health insurance from their employers, or in the case of the self-employed, purchase insurance. For that scheme government established a National Health Care Insurance company, which manages the Seha (National Health Insurance Scheme).
Health in Qatar has undergone significant improvement in the last several decades as a result of substantial investments in healthcare by the government. Child Mortality have been reduced by 50 % since 1990.Qatar spend $4.7 bn on healthcare in 2014, and this is the highest spending amount in the Middle East. The Companies progress is interrupted by extremely high rates of obesity, diabetes, and genetic disorder. The mortality rate was 7 % on 1000 lives and 79 year life expectancy in 2013.
