Have you tried doing some remote access activity? How do you usually do it? My job includes working with a Mac. I have to work with both Windows computers and Mac since our application has to be tested on both platforms. Now, the Mac is a bit far from my end so I have to use a remote access instrument.

I am using two whichever is really easy for me to use. I have VNC which is really easy and fast and the other is the Team Viewer which is a bit heavy and slow. It changes the orientation of the Mac but it is still okay.

Which of the two are you familiar with?
