Root vegetables

Root vegetables like tapioca, sweet potatoes, baby potatoes, potatoes and elephant yam are very rich and can be eaten by those who lack energy. People who are prone to or are diabetic should avoid it. 

Root vegetables are a poor man's friend and is cheap enough. Many people use it to make curries to have it along with fish or rice. 

Tapioca can also be powdered and stored and made into crispy papads. The powder should be made into a porridge like consistency and salt and sesame seeds and chilly powder should be added for taste. This should be then spread as small moons on a sheet and dried under the sun. After being dried, these can be stored in air tight cans and fried in oil and you have crispy tapioca papads ready These can be eaten as snack or along with rice.
