Shweta Prasad – The Bollywood Star Child Is Not Alone

By now people residing all over India is quite familiar with the Shweta Prasad scandal – the fact that the famous star child of the Bollywood industry was involved in drugs and prostitution has made the headlines of various newspapers in these last few days. Shweta Prasad got fame and instant recognition for her double role in the movie Makdee by Vishal Bhradwaj.

She also did several TV shows ad got several awards especially for her performance in the movie “Iqbal”. Four important Bollywood movie of her career was Makdee, Iqbal, Darna Zaroori Hai and Vaah Life Ho Toh Aisi.

Shweta’s involvement with drugs and prostitution and even getting arrested from Hyderabad made her the talk of the town and her character and dignity all were stampede on by the people. Mardaani, the movie which was based on human trafficking was Rani Mukherji’s one of the best performance till date after the movie Black.

She ( Rani Mukherji), while promoting the movie Mardaani, spoke a lot about girls being dragged into prostitution racket and how they are getting involved with drugs and all. But when asked for her comments on Shweta’s case she decided to reserve her comments.

On the other hand, Sakshi Tanwar, who acted as Shweta Prasad’s mother in the super hit television series “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki” seems to support her onscreen child to the last possible extent. Sakshi Tanwar was open about her views on this case which involved Shweta being in prostitution ring and having clients who are famous businessmen.

Shweta told the media and the police officials that she was unable to meet her basic necessities as she was out of money and her acquaintances in the Bollywood industry suggested her to go in this line of prostitution so that she can get some money in short time. Even Shobha De supported Sakshi Tanwar with her protest in this.
