The Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi

I recently visited The Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi (Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque), and what an awesome sight it was!  The Grand Mosque is one of the world's largest mosques with enough room to accommodate 40,000 worshippers.  The 24-carat gold-gilded chandeliers are stunning and the silk hand-knotted rug that covers the floor of the mosque is the largest in the world.  The beautiful white and gold colors outside the mosque are accentuated by reflective pools, 82 domes and over 1,000 columns.  Truly a destination worth putting on your bucket list!
