The Security and 2014 in Afghanistan

Posted on at

Security is the most significant matter which people of Afghanistan thinks about, and is the matter of chatting everywhere in the country, in Medias, between people, in social Medias and the internet. In spite of great threat of Taliban, Al-Qaida and other terrorist groups; the coalition and NATO forces are the most important factors in securing of security in Afghanistan, but they are decreasing their forces and presence in Afghanistan now. When in 2001 the Taliban government collapsed, there was no ordered army in the country, but unordered anti-Taliban forces of United Front which were defending from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the formal government of the country, against the Taliban regime all over the period of their control in most parts of Afghanistan. The Taliban, Al-Qaida and other terrorist groups that are fighting by Pakistan supporting against the government and coalition forces in Afghanistan are changed to a serious threat in security of Afghanistan.

The foreign supporting forces of security are transmitting step by step the security responsibilities to Afghanistan’s armed forces, and decreasing their presence, as the 2014 is coming. The Taliban as informed the status, are increasing their suicide attacks, armed attacks, street bomb replacing, school girls poisoning, major government leaders or anti- Taliban motions assassination and kidnapping of people and workers of government and other organization. They have killed hundreds of influential people and leaders of the country up to now. The most influential person that they have killed was Professor Borhanaddin Rabani the former president of Afghanistan and the great peace council chairman. He was working to bring peace into the country and assassinated by a representative of Taliban who came for peace.

In Taliban and their partners attacks the causalities of civilians are high, and innocent people are the most vulnerable side. The recent Suicide attack which occurred by Islamic Party, a partner of Taliban in the war, in May 16, 2013 in south of the Kabul city, twelve people killed, half of them were innocent people and half of them coalition forces, more than 50 innocent civilian people injured, and hundreds of people who were working and houses which were located there got economics causalities. The most of the causalities were children, women and innocent people. The suicide attack happened when a line of foreign forces’ cars were passing from the street.

Increasing the careless and planned attacks of terrorists created a serious threat in security of Afghanistan, and made the security a serious concern for people. It decreased the economics, educational, political, cultural and humanitarian activities in the society. There are more welfare supporting organizations who are canceled their supporting programs in Afghanistan due to security. There are hundreds of schools that are closed by Taliban or changed to military centers or posts. The insurgents and terrorist groups are not willing to attend in a peace process and change their activities from military to civil. Therefore, the future seems more bloody than peaceful.
