I have disappeared this year on social media.  I must apologise to all my followers on film annex and the various other sites. 

Where have I been? What have I been up to. Well life caught up with me! Last year my partner and I moved house, had our second baby and I took over as course/award/programme leader of our great film production course at Staffordshire University. 

All is going well with new house, new baby, and running the course. But this has several impacts on my life. One of them being not being able to blog and tweet as much.

 

 I didn't realise how much things would change since my last blog on film annex.

 

My website www.landcrash.co.uk got hacked, and ruined. My computer software became outdated. Bitcoin came about? What is Bitcoin all about? 

 

Time is so important at the moment and what I prioritise to do with it is essential. One of the things I have now decided to drop is my website being a wordpress site. I just don't have enough time to get all the right plug-ins, design work and feel to it. As well as having all the content on it. The other day my site got hacked into wordpress theme changed and all my work deleted. That was the final straw for me. The provider of the space was no help with this. Saying it was all my fault for installing wordpress etc. So i have decided one of the things to save time is my website. I have now changed over to building a site on Cargo Collective, which looks nice and costs me a lot less than the last site. 

 

Next change I have noticed is Bitcoin, and film annex decision to move its payments over to this, so far it all sounds interesting. I have been setting up a wallet for my payments and I am looking forward to seeing how this works. If anybody had a way of working with Bitcoin I would love to hear from them. I am looking at how I can receive the money I earn on film annex and then transfer it to my bank account.

Any good tips would be appreciated.

 

So this blackspot is coming to an end I hope. Work wise we are in the process of setting up lots of exciting opportunities for our students. With Internships and companies such as QVC and Double Negative.  We have are degree show to come in the next few months.

 

With my own work I have another music video for Camp Stag currently in production.  I am also curating a show with Airspace Gallery in Stoke On Trent.

Movement #4 my last short film will have its online premiere soon after doing a good 18 months at various film festivals. This film will premiere on the Fluid Radio website first. before appearing everywhere else.

 

 

Movement # 5 and 6 are in development at the moment to be filmed and created in the summer of 2014.

 

So lots going on hopefully I will be discussing the progress on here as well soon
