Life is short. You do not know what will happen today, tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow. Spend time with your family as much as you can, and working at home will make it possible for you. However, do not make it an excuse to skip on your work schedule. If it is work time, you should be laser focused. You are fortunate if you will win a client who is not strict with the number of hours you are working just as long as you are doing your work correctly and on schedule.

  • Save on gas expenses

The cost of fuel is getting expensive as the day goes by, but if you are working remotely, you can save a lot of money on gas expenses. You can use an application called Skip The Drive if you want to know the total savings you can get on the gas, parking and toll fees if you are working at the comforts of your own home.

  •  You can set your own schedule

Yes, it is possible because some clients are not strict with the number of hours you are working. You can work in the morning, afternoon or evening. Just choose the time that is convenient for you. Or you can work after doing all the household chores, etc. You can use online freelancing tools like Calendly or Trello to schedule your tasks so you won't forget them.

  •  More peaceful environment

Working in an office setting can be stressful. But if you are working from home, you will be able to enjoy a more peaceful environment. If you will be working 8 hours a day, please make sure to invest in a comfortable chair and table. You can add some indoor plants to give your place a more positive and relaxing vibe. Also, you can make your room soundproofed by installing thick blankets or curtains or by placing a bookshelf.

  •  No more office politics

Politics is common in the workplaces. People will gossip about you, spread cruel rumors about you, etc. You can survive the politics in the office by building your connections or network,  evaluating the organization chart, and the likes. But what if you are weak and you can't accept criticisms constructively? Well, you can avoid these kinds of scenario if you will be working from home. At home, no one will spread malicious things about you, no annoying colleagues around, and you will be at peace.

A person should set his goals as early as he can and devote all his energy and talent to getting there. With enough effort, he may achieve it. Or he may find something that is even more rewarding. But in the end, no matter what the outcome, he will know he has been alive. "

  •  Better health

Working in an office can give you different types of diseases, especially if you are working on a graveyard shift and with co-workers who are chain smokers. Smoking is dangerous to your health. You can get hypertension, lung cancer, stomach cancer, sleep disorders, and a lot more. You can avoid these illnesses if you will be working remotely as a majority of clients or companies allow you to work during the daytime. Just make sure you are eating the right kinds of food and taking exercise even if you are at home.

  • Less stress

As what I have said earlier, office politics is prevalent in workplaces. And this kind of issue can cause you to suffer from anxiety, depression or stress. Working at home can be less stressful for you because you do not have to brave the traffic, you do not have to work with aggravating co-workers, etc. And while you are working, you will feel more inspired because you always see your family and your fur babies.

  •  Avoid the hassle of traffic

Traffic is a huge problem in many different countries. Some wake up in the wee hours of the morning so they won't be late for school or work. It can cause a lot of stress which can lead to life-threatening diseases later on. So, if you are sickly or have a weak immune system, you should consider working from home. Get a job that requires 4-5 hours of your time every day, so you still plenty of time to relax and do other important things at home like cooking, cleaning and doing the laundry.

  •  You can work anywhere

If you are an online freelancer, you can work anytime, anywhere. You can work while you are on a short vacation with your family, friends or special someone or if you have to go to the hospital to take care of a sick family member. Just bring your laptop and pocket wifi with you, and you are good to go. However, if you plan on taking a vacation, make sure to check reviews beforehand. Check if that resort has excellent mobile or wifi signal.

  • It is more affordable

Aside from gas, parking and toll expenses, you can also save on clothing, food and transportation expenses. If you are an online freelancer, you do not have to worry about the clothing that you need to wear. You can work comfortably wearing your pajamas, and you can eat delicious homecooked meals prepared by your doting family.
