Various Education Systems in Pakistan

Today I want to talk about a very serious prevailing issue of Pakistan that is the education system. Being a student as well as a teacher I see a lot of drawbacks in the education system therefore I have decided to throw light on a few of the serious issues that need to be addressed on priority basis by the government.

The foremost issue is of the different education systems. There are three major educational systems working in Pakistan these comprise of the government urdu medium schools, private sector english medium schools and the british education system of O-A levels. All these systems work parallel until the intermediate class and then all these students have to compete on equality basis which is a quite disturbing fact because their greatly varying educational standards.

The second issue is of curriculum. Almost every private school in the country has its own substandard curriculum. Published by local publishers and then sold on a commission basis with the agreement of the school owners.

Third issue is of licensing the educational institutions. Government should give licenses to only those people who are capable of running an institution like this on which the future of the country relies.

Government should take serious measures to solve these problems and save our future generations. At this moment Pakistan has a very weak position in the world’s education sector. We should from the examples of Sirilanka, China and India where educational standards are getting improved day by day. May Allah be with us and help us overcome these problems.
