"What do you hope the most for your children?"
"That they will respect their elders and maintain our traditions."

(Jerusalem)
Yasmin Ara :Oh, come on. I am a Muslim woman, my parents would say the same thing. All of our parents wish we'd respect our elders and honor tradition. It doesn't automatically mean he doesn't want them to be happy or be good people.
Reading too much into one sentence. And assuming that this particular family is hurting Palestinians is a bit racist, just as much as assuming all Muslims are terrorists.

Nadia Nubani Bowling: I'll ignore the hateful comments and say this :I am Palestinian. My parents are muslim, they live in Ramallah, less than 15 miles from where this very picture was taken, and they desperately begged me to uphold our traditions. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to do that. But I understand what these parents want, what my parents want, and there is nothing wrong with that. I understand.
