Young and Making Money

Posted on at

In a tough economy, everyone is looking to make a little extra income on the side. Whether it's to pay for a bill or buy some new shoes, if there is a way to make more money, we are all willing to listen. The key question is who's willing to do the work you probably never thought about doing?

As soon as I graduated from college, a group of friends and I promised each other we would try to help one another to get a job within our field (Television and Radio). That plan evaporated like water in 100 degree weather. Times were hard. I couldn't land a job anywhere, I didn't have enough money to do the average things a young adult usually does and I didn't want to work for free. I didn't even bother to look at the internet to make money online because I believed to make money on the internet you need a business. Three years later after graduating, I landed a job working at Film Annex. Prior to working at this online platform, I never really used the internet to its fullest extent. There are numerous outlets to make money and it was right in front of me.

The endless opportunities to make money online is there and we don't even know it. College graduates run into multiple obstacles in this economy looking for jobs and different ways to earn money but fail in their search. The young demographic that controls the numbers of social media is also the same demographic that complains that they are struggling. The last few years, understanding and participating in social media and comprehending the power of the internet has shown me that if you really want to make money, you need the internet. Your chances of making money will increase whether you're on or off the computer.

Film Annex
is simply an aid to filmmakers looking to spread their talents and promote their films to as many people as possible AND help them make money. If I were told this while I was in college, my outlook on the internet would have been different after graduation. It's definitely not the only site out there looking to give away money regularly. As a young adult, I realize Information is all around us and we don't realize it. Time to think outside the box and make the internet work for you.
