RICHARD FENDELMAN, Director/cameraman/editor
Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Richard started his production career running the audio visual department while in junior high school. He was the only one who could figure out how to run the projectors. In high school he was a volunteer studio cameraman at the local Public Television station. After graduating from the University of Miami with a degree in television and film production, Richard ran the television and radio station aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. John F. Kennedy. Back in St. Louis, he became a well known radio personality as the on-air news director at the rock station KSHE.

Soon after moving to Miami to work in the news room of the local CBS television affiliate, Richard built and operated a very successful art cinema theater creating many mini film festivals and giving many independent documentary film makers a place to exhibit their films.

Eventually, Richard migrated into production and became a location scout/manager on the tv show Miami Vice and went on to scout/manage for thousands of tv commercials, music videos, movies and tv series. Today, Richard is an established director producing segments for the PBS show Artstreet, filming commercials, documentaries and corporate videos.

As a documentary style director, Richard is a master storyteller displaying a natural skill for bringing out intimate conversation with his subjects. He is accomplished at single and multi-camera productions. As a camera operator, he frames a beautiful shot and as an editor he can make almost any footage seem interesting.

Over the past few years, Richard has created a niche by producing behind-the-scenes promotional videos for large performing arts centers documenting the production of their musicals and plays.
