For more than 15 years, Carmen Hernandez has helped corporations navigate the cluttered media landscape to connect directly with consumers and fans to attract attention for their products. Her comprehensive knowledge of both her client profiles and the various tactics and disciplines required to have a voice in the brand marketplace makes her a standout resource for consumer product launches and developing long-term approaches.

Most recently, Carmen has worked on behalf of Cupcake Digital on the marketing and promotion of “Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!” apps for kids via public relations, advertising, and social media platforms. Her ability to steer through a variety of consumer interest niches and mine for opportunities with media, as well as develop corporate and entertainment relationships make her well suited for working with start-ups and established businesses in need of a new approach. She has long worked with companies to craft branding identities, develop press materials, create web and social media content and marketing collateral, foster promotional partnerships and coordinate media relations strategies.

Recently, as a consultant for talent agencies, management companies and producers in entertainment, Carmen has generated millions of dollars in revenue through partnerships, sponsorships and endorsement deals with brands such as AOL, ivillage, expedia.com, Motorola, Tom Tom, Tide, Gillette, Soma Intimates, Sherwin Williams, Sperry Topsider, Famous Footwear, Demand Media, Hearst Corporation, Time Inc., Prudential, ING, American Express and others.

Carmen was a Vice President at Edelman Public Relations, the world’s largest independent public relations firm, and Advertising Age’s top-ranked PR firm of the decade, with wholly-owned offices in 53 cities and 3,400 employees worldwide. In her leadership position in the Tourism & Lifestyle practice, Carmen created strategic campaigns for a wide variety of blue-chip brands including Schering -Plough, The Puerto Rico Tourism Company, Pfizer, Birds Eye Foods, Barilla, Colonial Williamsburg, and Jazz at Lincoln Center.

Carmen is a graduate of University of Michigan where she received a liberal arts degree with a concentration in Psychology. After ten years in New York City, She moved to Los Angeles in 2007 where she has represented actors, producers and lifestyle experts as a public relations, marketing and brand integration specialist and has consulted for a variety of start-ups and small businesses.
