Celebration of the Holy Festival of Eid-al-Adha in Afghanistan, Part 1

Uploaded on Saturday 2 November 2013

DESCRIPTION

Eid Qurban or Eid-al-Adha is a big celebration for Muslims in remembrance of Ebrahim and his son Ismail who sacrificed an animal to obtain Allah’s satisfaction. A month before this festival, Muslims go to Saudi Arabia for a pilgrimage for the holy Kaba, sacrifice animals and help people in need.
Muslims around the world get together with their family and friends to celebrate these holy days. They wear their fanciest clothes and bring sweets and cookies and sometimes go for picnics.
