Emma Watson and Stephen Chbosky Interview for “The Perks of Being a Wallflower”

Uploaded on Wednesday 3 October 2012

DESCRIPTION

I love Emma Watson! She grew up before our very eyes playing Hermione in the beloved “Harry Potter” series. And boy, did she grow up to be a fine, sweet young woman. In the new movie “The Perks of Being a Wallflower,” Watson plays Sam, the love interest of our wallflower, Charlie (Logan Lerman). This film is simply one of the best movies this year, in my humble opinion.

When I met Watson during the Toronto International Film Festival, she was joined by Stephen Chbosky, the author, writer, and director of “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” In this interview, we talked about:

What did Emma think of the book when she first read it?
To Stephen – why did he decide to adapt and direct his own novel?
To Emma – what attracted her to the character Sam?
Why many people love the book and now the movie?

Have fun!
