LUX Prize 2011 - Selection Panel's first meeting

Cineuropa met up with some of the members from the selection panel of the 2011 edition of the LUX Prize of the European Parliament.

With five new members added to last year’s list, the panel is now composed by LUX Prize 2011 winner Feo Aladag; Jose Luis Cienfuegos, Director of the Gijon Film Festival; Christophe Leparc, Secretary-General of the Directors' Fortnight at the Cannes International Film Festival; Per Ericsson, Responsible for Education and Teaching at the Swedish Film Institute; Eva Zaoralova, Film critic and Artistic Consultant at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival; Gyorgy Báron, President of the Hungarian Film Critics’ Association; Catherine Buresi, deputy director of the European Film Market for the Berlinale; Marion Doring, director of the European Film Academy; Kristen Dalgaard, distributor and co-president of the NatFilm International Film Festival; Stephan De Potter, distributor (Cinéart); Michel Demopoulos, film critic; Fatima Djoumer, head of International relations at Europa Cinéma; Jakub Duszynski, distributor (Gutek Film); Nick James; editor of the magazine Sight & Sound; Georgette Ranucci, distributor (Lucky Red); Mira Staleva, programmer at the Sofia International Film Festival.

Aviva Silver, MEDIA Programme Head of Unit, and Roberto Olla, Executive Director of the Eurimages, are observers on the LUX Prize Selection Panel, while Yvon Thiec (EUROCINEMA) is the panel’s Honorary Member.
