“Pacific Rim” Movie Review

Uploaded on Thursday 11 July 2013

DESCRIPTION

We’ve been waiting for “Pacific Rim” by writer/director Guillermo del Toro. It was supposed to come out July of last year, and then Warner Bros. moved the film’s release date to May of this year, and then finally, to July 12, 2013. Is it worth the wait? Here’s what you need to know – aliens came from beneath the Pacific and unleashed a horde of monsters known as kaiju. Mankind banded and in order to fight monsters, they created monsters – giant robots known as jaeger. Each robot is controlled by two pilots whose minds are locked in a neural bridge. This is called the drift.

Del Toro co-wrote the script with Travis Beacham (“Clash of the Titans”) and the special effects are from the Industrial Light and Magic. Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, Rob Kazinsky, Max Martini, and del Toro favorite, Ron Perlman, star in this giant robot of a movie.

But is “Pacific Rim” worth the wait? Take a look:
