"Machine Learning Training" project - Phase 1 - An introductory guide

Posted on at

Thanks everybody who applied to participate in our new initiative!

Invites are slated to be sent out soon, so it's time to begin giving you some insight on how this project works.

In this first phase, we'll be introducing Machine Learning tasks of type 1. These are Natural Language Understanding (NLU) training tasks requiring you to write alternative sentences given an example.

Before you continue reading, make sure to check out our Apply for the Machine Learning Training Closed Beta c-blog post and sign up if you haven't yet!

Step 1:

Click on the link you received in your e-mail

Step 2:

Read through the terms & conditions and accept them

Step 3:

You will now be presented with the MLT interface. You will see a sentence on the top of the page and five(5) empty fields. You must enter 5 different sentences to convey the same meaning as to the given sentence. (Please see the image below as an example)

Note: If you cannot fulfill the task or the given sentence is not clear enough, please refresh the page to skip. WARNING: Do not enter random characters to fill the form up! This will affect your rating!

Step 4:

When you're done, click "Submit". You will immediately receive a reward, immediately accredited and payable to your bitLanders account.

Step 5:

If available, a new task will be given to you.

Step 6:

Tasks are limited: once you run out you are done for the day. Come back tomorrow for more! You can find a more convenient link to access the MLT page on the "+" menu in the top-right corner.

Important notes:

(1) Completion of Machine Learning tasks is rewarded with bitMiles, a virtual currency redeemable with real money. Should the quality of your work be deemed insufficient, your earnings may be forfeited from your account.

(2) All your submissions will be reviewed and any irrelevant submission will not be included in the model training.

(3) If the quality of your work is considered too low, we reserve the right to revoke access to the program.

(4) Machine Learning tasks are limited in quantity and may not always be available. If you run out of tasks for the day, come back tomorrow and you might be given more!

Thank you all again and Happy Training!
