Waste Management

Waste management means the removal of waste and litter from the cities, towns and villages. In the modern world, this deserves more importance than is usually given to it. Local self-government is responsible for the removal of waste and providing other facilities, to the citizen, which are necessary in a modern society.

Waste and litter are dangerous as they often contain items that can rot and can create health hazard. Great civilizations were destroyed due to the health hazards created due to lack cleanness and waste management. Another big issue is the “toxic” or poisonous waste that includes chemicals used in factories. These can mix up in drinking water and cause serious diseases.

Lastly, there is a concept of recycling. It is a good practice to rescue or recycle some of the waste to save natural resources.
