IMDb Description: A gunfighting stranger comes to the small settlement of Lago and is hired to bring the townsfolk together in an attempt to hold off three outlaws who are on their way.

The Stranger (Clint Eastwood) carries a 7 1/2 Cavalry Single Action Army as his sidearm in the film. Eastwood plays an enigmatic wraith, who metes out justice in a corrupt frontier mining town, where he arrives as a stranger. The camera pulls back to reveal that the wooden marker carved by Mordecai reads, MARSHAL JIM DUNCAN. Eastwood plays a nameless gunslinger who simply rides into Lago, a small, spare mining town built on the edge of a huge mountain lake.
