What's Up with Upshaw? Episode 2

Posted on at

So here's what I've been up to this week:

I have a friend named Renee who publishes Single Lifestyle Magazine in Northwest Indiana and hosts speed dating events at least once a month (www.12dates1hour.com).  I've written three articles for her about NWI businesses, and may I say that  did a very good job of it!  The businesses are a gift shop, a bakery and a jeweler.  It was fun doing those stories, especially the bakery.  Chocolate cheesecake cupcakes are delicious!

I've progressed with "The Mother of All Days" animated special.  I've put together the opening and Scene One; now on to animating Scene Two!

I am inspired by the young lady who runs the bakery I wrote about to further follow my dreams and make my own summer job this year:  I want to put up a booth in my hometown of East Chicago, Indiana and do caricatures on the spot and sell some original cartoon swag (mugs, key chains, maybe T-shirts).  I want to boost my town, and boy, can it use some boosting!

I leave you now with a still from "The Mother of All Days".  Don't they look like they're having a good time?
