Today I say that I am happy and that I am thankful that it is my husband’s birthday.

Yes it is on Christmas Eve – what a bad day to be actually born on, because all the focus is on tomorrow, and if you do get presents then they are often joint ones! This is what he told me when I met, so I always make it a policy to have two totally separate sets of presents for him.

It also means now that as a family the celebration period is extended by a day. I cook way too much for yet another day, so by the time we get to 27th, it is a feed yourself time! Still, I am thankful for him, and for what he does. He is someone who tries to look after me (not easy) and who tries to get things done as best he can. He helps me with things, and he does things I cannot. I am thankful for him.
