Posted on at

After very tough first days, Pakistani players were aimed to get the good start on 3rd day and get close the New Zealand total.  Azhar Ali and Younis Khan were two good middle order batsman were at the crease for Pakistani openers.  Both were very in good form of their carriers. They start pretty well and not lose wickets.  Although the run rate of Pakistan innings was not good but this was fine that they were not giving away the wickets. Azhar Ali was bit slowly on scoring runs but Younis Khan was scoring runs easily. He made good fifty but fails to get the big hundred. He gives away his wicket to part time bowler when he was on 72.

Now captain Misbah-Ul-Haq was at the crease with Azhar Ali. Misbah was also in good form. They were going nicely but Misbah fails to play the captain’s innings. He gives his wicket when Pakistan needed him.  Asad Shafiq was the next batsman who did not get the enough chances to show his performance in last some matches. These two also built little good partnership and this time Azhar Ali lost his wicket at the crucial stage of the innings. He scores beautiful 75 runs for his team.  Now the last batsmen from Pakistan were at the crease.  Next man Sarfraz Ahmed is very good attacking player. Asad Shafiq and Sarfraz Ahmed gives some pace to Pakistan innings. Both these makes a very good fifty runs partnership.  This partnership comes to an end when Asad Shafiq goes back to the after losing wicket in 2nd last over of the day. This was very important wicket for New Zealand which grabs at the end of the day. Tails of Pakistan batting with this lose of wicket. Yasir Shah comes to the crease to bat with Sarfraz Ahmed. Pakistan ends another bad day on 281 runs with lose of 6 wickets. Now Pakistan requires 124 runs to level the score of New Zealand. Remember that last 4 New Zealand batsman added 124 runs. Now last 4 Pakistani will to score 125 runs to get the 1 runs lead on New Zealand.
